Sept.15.92

If this were a cartoon there'd be the sound of screeching
tires and a lightbulb flashing just above my head
Logic would abandon me as it probably should and the
spur would be the best part of the moment
Eternity would not show it's cards to me at least not
until the money was on the table
All the clouds and trees would look remarkably like
question marks setting the scene by the scenery
Some leftover hippie with a towel on her head would
tell my future with a deck of baseball cards
The coolest part of all would be the orchestra of
clowns playing the music that accompanies my life
What would I have to pay to have Sterling Holloway
use his best Pooh voice to tell the tale
By the time the credits rolled the moral would be lost
through an ever moving hole in the floor
Need there be much more to the sport of words than
trying to impress babes with sappy love poems
